How to film God? This essay explores mystical experiences and the possibilities of narrating encounters with that which can only be stirred and awakened in the spirit. Beginning with a childhood mystical experience, the director searches for ways to stage the numinous. Digital images, artificial intelligence, and multimedia material from the internet are juxtaposed with personal testimony and medieval texts to create a reflection on the encounter with the transcendent in the digital age.
